FAQs

Will I be asked to provide medical information?

Summary: Yes. When you apply to take out life insurance with Beagle Street, we'll ask you a series of questions about your health, lifestyle and family history. When assessing your application, we won't ask you to have a medical exam or request a report from your doctor.

Why might I be asked to provide medical information?

When you apply, we’ll ask you about your health, lifestyle and family history. This is to help us assess your level of risk and the terms we can offer.

It’s important to be honest and accurate when applying for your life insurance policy to make sure we’re able to pay out if needed. If it’s found that your application wasn’t accurate, this can delay a payout or even prevent us paying out altogether.

We recommend you double-check the information you put in your application and let us know if you spot any mistakes as soon as possible so that we can get this changed if needed.

What medical evidence will we ask for and from who?

We’ll ask you a few simple questions about your lifestyle, such as any dangerous hobbies and whether you smoke, and we’ll ask about any illnesses or conditions that affect you or your close biological family. We’ll also ask about your weight and height to work out your BMI.

We won’t ask you to attend a medical exam.
