Life at Beagle Street

My role at Beagle Street was in the Brand and Communications team. I joined Beagle Street three weeks prior to the brand’s 2014 launch and I thoroughly enjoyed working on this project. Learning came thick and fast as I was given responsibility from the beginning for managing my own projects.

During my time at Beagle Street I managed two Direct Marketing campaigns. As this campaign was to ‘look alike’ customers I learnt a lot about the importance of purchasing data.

Throughout my six months at Beagle Street I was responsible for the Brand and Communications budget. I set up trackers to monitor spend and had to feed my budget into the Marketing Planning team so they could forecast results for the end of the month and financial year.

I was also responsible for Brand Protection at Beagle Street. It was my role to ensure that the brand’s IP was not infringed and was protected. I learnt a lot in this role about the Legal process for taking action against websites with branding infringements. I had the opportunity to manage the production of digital assets for various online channels.

Testing this creative gave me a great understanding of how small changes in messaging and imagery can improve performance in terms of click through and quote rates. I also worked on three PR campaigns during my time at Beagle Street, each campaign receiving national and some international coverage.

The beauty of working for Beagle Street is that you get a range of opportunities to experience as the business is in its infancy and collaboration is essential. Anyone looking to apply to be a graduate should take a look at BGL’s values and if you think you demonstrate them then we could be just the place for you to kick start your career!
