Life Insurance for Extreme Sports & Hobbies
At Beagle Street, we won’t hold it against you!
Most other life insurers still consider your hobbies as one of the criteria they need to calculate your premiums. Generally speaking, hobbies such as trekking, skiing, snorkelling are considered “low risk” and insurers will most likely accept these without increasing your premium.
High risk and extreme sports and activities however, can be seen as dangerous; potentially increasing the likelihood of mortality and therefore insurers may take this into account when providing you with a quote.
We have provided a list of extreme sports and hobbies that are accepted when taking out life cover with Beagle Street
- Bungee jumping
- Rock climbing and mountaineering
- Racing (car, boat, motorbike)
- Hang gliding
- Piloting (private planes)
- Hot air ballooning
- Heli Skiing/Snowboarding
- Big wave surfing
- Underwater Scuba diving
Do I need to notify you of my “extreme” sport choice?
No, whatever you choose to do for enjoyment in your spare time is up to you. A life insurance application with Beagle Street will not ask you any hobby or sporting activity related questions.
At Beagle Street we want people from all walks of life to take out a policy with us and in reality, the risk involved in any of these hobbies is minimal – providing proper precautions are taken.
It’s for this reason we don’t consider them, simple as that.
