11 super successful celebrity-child power pairings26 February, 2016
Celebrities may lead charmed lifestyles compared to many of us, but deep down we’re all just the same.
Any parent will tell you their kids are right at the centre of their lives – and the stars of showbiz are no different.
In fact, in many cases, famous faces will team up with their youngsters to form a real power pair. Here we take a look at some of the world’s biggest:
1. Will and Jaden Smith
Young Jaden Smith got to make his acting debut alongside his superstar old man Will in 2006 movie The Pursuit of Happyness.
The movie went on to take over $300m at the box office, with Will receiving an Oscar nomination for his role.
Since then, Jaden has appeared in four more Hollywood movies, including The Day The Earth Stood Still and The Karate Kid – and he’s still just 17.
2. David and Brooklyn Beckham
The children of footballing megastar David Beckham were always going to struggle to get out of their dad’s shadow – and it doesn’t help that he reminds them at every turn.
The former England captain’s son Brooklyn only managed to get halfway through an Instagram message celebrating topping a million followers when his dad crashed it to remind the 16-year-old that he himself has 52 million.
Brooklyn is, however, well on course to become a success in his own right after winning a contract as a photographer for Burberry.

3. Noel and Anais Gallagher
Britpop icon Noel’s daughter Anais is just 16 but she’s already secured work as a presenter on CBBC and been signed up to a top modelling agency. Some Might Say she’s got a Wonderwall career ahead of her.
4. Beyonce and Blue Ivy Carter
The daughter of Beyonce and Jay Z may not yet have passed her fifth birthday, but she’s already featured in two of her mum’s music videos and has even been recorded crying at the end of another song.
5. Gordon and Tilly Ramsay
Shouty chef Gordon is, by all accounts, a big softie at heart. The restaurateur and TV personality encouraged his teenage daughter to become a top telly chef, just like her old man.
And she’s doing pretty well so far, as she already has her very own TV show. She’s clearly hungry for success.
6. Jude and Rafferty Law
Rafferty, the son of English actors Jude Law and Sadie Frost has already been channelling his dad in a series of modelling campaigns.
And late last year, the pair’s 15-year-old daughter, Iris, followed in the same well-worn family footsteps when she fronted her own campaign with Illustrated People.
It must be in the genes.
7. Kim Kardashian West and North West
This mega-famous American family has already seen young North West photographed in a variety of different fashionable outfits – despite the fact that she’s not even three years old.
It’s probably a safe bet that a career in the fashion industry is in the pipeline.
8. Harry and Jamie Redknapp
It’s not actually uncommon for the sons of footballers to follow in their father’s footsteps and take up a career in the beautiful game.
Jamie Redknapp surpasses most, though, in that he’s also forged a career in the media since.
The Sky Sports presenter is now just a big a name as his manager dad – and together the pair are one of football’s best-known families.
9. Paul and Stella McCartney
Parents don’t come much more famous than Paul McCartney. The former Beatle was – and still is – one of the world’s most recognisable faces.
Little wonder, then, that his daughter Stella was destined to make a name for herself too.
The 41-year-old ex-Beatle’s daughter is now a world famous fashion designer – but she had a fair old leg-up from pops when she was younger.
When graduating from London’s St Martins College, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss modelled in her graduation runway show. And before that she’d managed to get a prestigious internship with Christian Lacroix.
She’s now carved out an, ahem, Stella career in the industry and is a global name in her own right.
10. Gary and George Lineker
Former Spurs and England striker Gary may be a huge personality on Twitter, but his son George isn’t far behind.

Entrepreneur George is genuinely entertaining too, as evidenced by his 83,000 followers.
11. Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber
When both of your parents are models, there’s a fair chance you’ll have a decent shot at the big time yourself.
That’s exactly what’s happened to Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber’s daughter Kaia, who’s just been signed up by Alexander Wang.
